Join the Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) team, where you'll contribute to groundbreaking innovations! We are seeking applicants for an Entry-Level Software Engineer position to join our Strategic Military Space (SMS) Division.

The Strategic & Military Space Division delivers advanced satellite and sensor systems that support the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Our division is a key component of national security, providing technological solutions and expert mission support. Key Responsibilities:
  • Designs, develops, and troubleshoots new or existing software services and applications
  • Designs and develops utility programs
  • Interfaces with program team members, as required
  • Provides inputs for documentation of new or existing programs, as required
  • Write clean, consistent, well-documented code
  • Implements, tests, and maintains code for internal and external customers
  • Ensures that code meets end-user requirements
  • Collaborates with other developers to ensure new projects integrate with existing systems
  • Provides operational support for existing systems
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance
  • BS or higher degree in engineering or computer science and 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of common programming languages and object-oriented practices (C#, C++, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Familiarity with software configuration management tools and processes
  • Technical skills in programming, designing, systems development, and testing
  • Introductory-level knowledge of common software development processes (revision control, peer reviews, documentation standards)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in compiled and interpreted computer languages
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective team relationships
  • Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
*Salary Range
  • $70,000 - $93,500
    • Salary commensurate based on education and experience
