RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare all new and used vehicles for registration and titling in Utah.
• Prepare all new and used vehicles sold for out of state sales and send to 3rd party for processing.
• Communicate and follow up on all out of state deals processed by our 3rd party.
• Issue refunds for overpayments on taxes collected for out of state deals.
• Post all accounting for DMV from our 3rd party vendor.
• Maintain accurate records for all title transactions, including digital and physical files.
• Respond to inquiries from customers, client advisors, lienholders and state agencies regarding title and registration status.
• Maintain a system to verify all trade and purchase titles are obtained, perform quarterly title audits.
• Ensure all titles are issued to the correct lienholders and promptly address any errors.
• Follow up with our client advisors and managers for outstanding documents or discrepancies in title paperwork.
• Responsible for transporting and submitting DMV paperwork to the Tax Commission for processing, as well as retrieving completed documents upon completion.
• Ensure all Manufacturer's Statements of Origin (MSOs) for new vehicles are properly filed and maintained.
• Perform month-end reconciliation and cleanup of accounting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Cross train with the other accounting desks in order to provide backup support as needed to ensure continuity in operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High attention to detail, organization a priority
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally in one-on-one situations to customers and other associates
• Able to track and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of Excel and must be able to learn company software
• Able to work independently
• Requires sitting for extended periods of time
• Prefers previous dealership experience or DMV background
