ENT of Huntsville is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgery Scheduler to join our dynamic team. As a Surgery Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in coordinating surgical procedures for our patients in a timely and efficient manner. Located in the state of Alabama, our state-of-the-art medical facility is dedicated to providing the highest quality care to our patients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

- Arrange and schedule surgical procedures for patients with precision and accuracy, taking into consideration physician schedules, availability of operating rooms, and patient needs.

- Obtain all necessary pre-authorization and insurance approvals for surgeries.

- Communicate with patients, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure all necessary pre-operative and post-operative instructions are provided.

- Collaborate with surgical team to ensure all equipment and supplies are available for each procedure.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all scheduled surgeries and relevant patient information.

- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering any questions or concerns related to their surgery.

 

Qualifications:

 

- High School Diploma or equivalent, some college or certification in medical terminology preferred.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical setting, preferably with knowledge of surgical procedures.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in medical software and electronic health records.

- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
