As a Software Test Engineer, you will primarily be working on our Timing Products. You'll be using your software testing expertise designing and maintaining both automated and manual tests that will assist in ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction all the while working in a fun highly collaborative global environment. The position is in Rochester NY at our West Henrietta location.

What you'll be doing:
• Working closely with other Software Test Engineers and Software Developers designing both automated and manual test cases on the latest GPS-based and alternative PNT equipment and software
• Testing new products, new features and software releases to ensure our products meet the highest standards and specifications
• Developing both automated and manual test cases from product requirements
• Developing automated tests using tools such as Python/Robot Framework & Playwright/Selenium
• Using oscilloscopes, frequency counters, etc… to test embedded software systems
• Proficiently configuring network technologies - TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, OSPF, and BGP
• Working cross-functionally with project teams to understand their needs to develop tests to resolve their problems
• Create and maintain traceability between test cases and requirements
• Participating in daily SCRUM/Kanban meetings
• Working with Customer Service to resolve field related issues
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives
• Working in a multi-discipline, multi-cultural environment with cross-functional global teams toward common goals

Job Requirements

What you bring to Safran:
• BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information or related field
• A minimum of 3-5 years' of software testing experience
• Software testing, in an agile environment
• Experience with Test Management tools
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Python, Robot Framework a plus!
