Job Description

**Summary** Roll-Off Drivers are responsible for preparing, securing and the eventual transport ofopen top and compactor containers to various disposal sites which include landfills,transfer facilities and the various customer locations on Joint Base Elmendorf Richardsons. (JBER) Roll.-Off Drivers will need to navigate landfills, driveways, alleyways, job sites and traffic filled roadways. **Responsibilities** + Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; complete and submit driver inspection reports at beginning of each shift. + Provide prompt and courteous roll-off delivery and removal services to JBER customers + Communicates with requesters Program Manager to schedule deliver, pick up and inspection of Roll Off containers + Drive Roll Off truck in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations and company guidelines. + Maintain, update and complete driver log sheets to be turned in at the end of each shift. + Using excellent customer service skills; establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, officials and all members of JBER community. + May be required to occasionally operate Front Load Garbage truck + Other duties as assigned **Qualifications** + Valid Class B/CDL combination with Air Brake Endorsement. Class A preferred. + Minimum 2 years' experience driving a Roll Off truck or 5 yearsoperating other class B trucks. + Ability to properly install and uninstall traction chains unaided on single and dual tires. + Possess general knowledge of the mechanics of trucks to do minor vehicle maintenance. + The ability to plan out routes to ensure traveling is the most efficient way. + Ability to work overtime, and/or holidays. + Ability to work in all weather conditions. + Must fluently speak, comprehend, and write English. + Basic knowledge of Front Load Garbage trucks operation. _Knowledge,_ _Skills_ _and Abilities:_ + Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment. + Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook. _Physical Demands:_ (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
