We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Project Manager to join our team. In this exciting role, you will play a critical part in delivering successful embedded systems projects for a leading provider of open source solutions.
What You'll Do:
Lead and manage the entire project lifecycle for complex customer engagements, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Work closely with engineering teams to deliver custom Ubuntu images for a wide range of devices, from robotics and IoT to PCs and automotive systems.
Build strong client relationships: Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Drive project success: Develop and maintain project plans, track progress, and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
Collaborate effectively: Work closely with cross-functional teams across different regions (Americas, Asia, Europe).
Advocate for open source solutions: Promote the value of Ubuntu and other open source technologies to customers.
What You'll Bring:
Solid project management experience in delivering engineering services to customers, managing software development teams, and leading field engineers.
Extensive experience managing complex projects with cross-cultural and multi-continent teams.
Strong technical background: A good understanding of Linux, open source software, and computer architecture.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities.
PMP/PMI or PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification is preferred.
A Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math is preferred.
