Project Manager - Project GROW Hiring Department The University of Texas Permian Basin welcomes applications for the position of Project Manager for Project Grow
Salary Range $65,000.00 depending on qualifications
Essential Functions Under the supervision of the Project Director, the Project Manager will lead Project GROW until its closure. This position is responsible for leading, monitoring, and reporting on project-related goals and objectives and supervising its day-to-day operations. The Project Manager will ensure that all the project objectives are achieved within the five-year project life cycle. The Project Manager will work with the Project Director on data and formative evaluation, adjusting project activities with university systems and working with the UTPB Graduate Studies office to identify student opportunities. The successful candidate will have significant decision-making authority and independence in prioritizing tasks and policy interpretation and will be expected to acquire familiarity with the specialized terms and practices of the university.
Monitor, report, and supervise day-to-day operations of the project
Work towards the following goals of the project in coordination with all the administrative and academic units of UTPB
Maintain proper and timely communication with the stakeholders, administrative units, and academic units involved in the project
Work with the project personnel and all the stakeholders
Form a point of contact with the external evaluator for the project and provide the required data for assessment of the progress of the project objectives
Track the progress of those project objectives and provide relevant data to an external evaluator
Inform the Project Director in a timely manner about any shortfalls in meeting the project objectives and advise about the corrective actions
Finalize the project reports/presentations assisted by the Project Director
Maintain Liaison with UTPB Office of Research and Sponsored Projects for submission of reports and progress
Answer special requests or solve problems, routing to senior staff members as appropriate.
Required Qualifications 1. Master's degree required in health science and human performance or related field from an accredited college or university
2. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the areas of staff supervision, budget management, program development and evaluation, and reporting and compliance with federal regulations
3. Knowledge of basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, knowledge of database systems, performing data entry
Preferred Qualifications 1. Formal training/experience in enrollment, retention, and graduation rates in higher education.

Schedule Generally, the normal work hours for the university are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 - 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. The individual holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and on weekends to meet the needs of the department. Hours worked may differ with some departments.
Standard Working Conditions 1. Able to lift various materials up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
2. Able to bend, crouch, and reach continuously.
3. Physically able remain seated, frequently to continuously.
4. Able to remain standing up to 15% of the time.
5. Possesses dexterity abilities required to perform job duties including extensive keyboard work, operating office equipment, performing filing, and other job-related responsibilities that include extensive wrist and hand movement.
