Job Description

Ready to help one of the nation’s biggest office supply brands? We need furniture assemblers to build products in customers’ homes and service this well-known chain’s stores once every three weeks. An exceptional showroom experience will drive more assembly orders, and building a strong relationship with the store manager is key to expanding your hours in the market. Strong cross-selling skills will be vital to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

In-Home Assembly Assignments

Timely & Accurate Reporting of Completed Work

Furniture Repairs

RTA Furniture Assembly

Grill Assembly

Exercise Equipment Assembly & More!

  1. Take Inventory and Identify Missing Items from Sales Floor
  2. Anchor Displays to Ensure Customer Safety
  3. Make Minor Assembly Repairs to Furniture
  4. Clean & Vacuum Furniture Pad
  5. Assemble RTA Furniture for Display Area
  6. Report Your Work Via Phone, Tablet, or Computer
  7. Build & Maintain Relationships with Store Managers

Requirements:

  1. Reliable transportation to travel 30–60 miles to multiple locations daily (depending on the market).
  2. Basic tool set required in some markets.
  3. Effective communication skills with customers, team members, and management (better communication = more shifts).
  4. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and lift 50 lbs throughout the day.
  5. Flexible availability, including hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, with occasional weekends and evenings as needed.
  6. Ability to read and follow diagrams or instructions and use hand and power tools effectively.
  7. Must be 18 years or older.

  4. Paid mileage, travel pay, and hotel accommodations with per diem for travelers when applicable.

  6. Flexible shifts ranging from 0–40 hours per week, depending on volume, willingness to travel, and acceptance of various projects.
  7. W2 employment status.

 

Pay Rates:

  1. $16-$20/hour hire rates (rate depends on market and project type)
