Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Lakeside, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing payroll processes for a construction company, ensuring compliance with union agreements and prevailing wage laws. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in payroll while working independently and collaboratively within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: - Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with union agreements and prevailing wage laws. - Manage certified payroll documentation and reporting requirements. - Administer employee benefits, including 401k and other related programs. - Utilize Vista accounting software to maintain payroll records and generate reports. - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues. - Ensure timely submission of payroll data to meet deadlines and regulatory requirements. - Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes. - Demonstrate attention to detail by reviewing payroll data and identifying discrepancies. - Support accounting functions related to payroll, including reconciliation and reporting. - Stay informed on changes in payroll regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, with a focus on construction industry payroll. - Strong knowledge of union payroll processes and prevailing wage requirements. - Proficiency in Vista accounting software is highly desirable. - Skilled in using Windows applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. - Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. - Positive attitude and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external partners.
