Job Description

Our client, a distinguished collection of four boutique hotels in Malta, comprising a total of 240 rooms, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Executive Housekeeper to lead their housekeeping operations. Overview of Key Responsibilities and Duties are as follows but not limited to:

  • Oversee all Housekeeping operations, ensuring that our properties meet the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and efficient staff management.
  • Lead a diverse team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all housekeeping activities are carried out smoothly and efficiently.
  • Identify and coordinate development plans for team members to ensure continued growth and success within the organization.
  • Work in tandem with Front Office / Guest Services, Reservations and F&B to ensure guest’s needs are determined/met and oversee the overall smooth operation of Housekeeping department.
  • Distribute and delegate tasks to maximize productivity and guest satisfaction while minimizing costs.
  • Direct departmental efforts to recruit, train, employ, and evaluate the housekeeping workforce. Coordinate administrative duties with supervisory staff.
  • Prepare and administer the approved budget for department. Monitor and maintain inventory control and related costs.
  • Deal effectively with a high volume of tasks and guest requests. Resolve guest and employee issues appropriately.
  • Ensure that all set policies, procedures, best practices are in place and rigorously enforced.
  • Uphold and adhere to the hotel’s core values.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Housekeeper or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping processes and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Maltese is an asset.
  • Budget management experience, with the ability to monitor and control costs.
  • High level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
