Job Description

Michigan Auto Law, Michigan’s premier plaintiff’s personal injury law firm, is looking for dedicated Litigation Associate Attorneys to join our elite litigation teams. A successful candidate must have a passion for helping people and demonstrate exceptional emotional intelligence. Qualifying experience includes 1-5 years of litigation (auto negligence preferred), remarkable writing and oral advocacy skills, exceptional time management, and organizational abilities. Responsibilities include daily communication and counseling of clients, researching and writing, reviewing records, taking and defending depositions, writing and responding to written discovery materials and motions, trial preparations, and otherwise assisting senior counsel in all aspects of case management from intake to settlement. Compensation commensurate with experience. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff
  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
  • Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals
  • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action
  • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
  • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam
  • Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys
  • Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
